Developed by Dr. Tom van Eijk in 2005, the Fern Pattern Technique uses a fern-like pattern of hyaluronic acid filler placement to support fine lines and folds. At Clique, Racheal R. Santarpia brings training and certification from Dr. van Eijk to a plan tailored to your facial anatomy.
Because Restylane® products are hyaluronic acid fillers indicated for moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds, they can be a strong fit for carefully mapped correction around the mouth and nose when the plan is tailored to the client’s anatomy.

Fern Pattern injections can be a strong option for clients who want to treat visible folds and wrinkles without surgery and without a bulky filler look.

A more sophisticated filler result starts with assessment. Before placing product, the injector evaluates skin quality, fold depth, facial balance, and how the area moves when you speak and smile.
Expect early improvement right away, then a smoother settled result as the area calms down.
Following treatment, it is normal to have some mild-to-moderate redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site. These effects often improve over the next several days.
Many clients notice visible improvement immediately because the fold is supported right away, but the final look is better judged after early swelling settles and the area integrates more naturally.
